seeproperty.co.nz is a centralised source for properties for sale in New Zealand. We aim to provide homebuyers with a fast and reliable service that incorporates useful tools for finding and enquiring about properties that may interest them.

What is the 214 text service?

The 214 text service is the seeproperty.co.nz text alert system. Simply text in a property's reference number to 214 and receive the next open home scheduled there. The 214 text service will even update you via a text message if that open home is cancelled or changed. You can also request the agent to contact you about a property by texting 'view' then the property's reference number (eg 'view ABC1234') to 214.

What does it cost when I text 214 for an open home?

Nothing more than the standard text rate your mobile provider charges you. Seeproperty.co.nz does not add any premium on top of our cost.

Will the real estate agent get my mobile phone number?

No, we will never provide your mobile number to a real estate agent unless you specifically request a viewing (by sending a 'view' enquiry text message) or you request the agent to contact you regarding other properties they may have that are similar to a sold or withdrawn property (by sending a 'more' enquiry text message).

Will I be updated if the open home is changed or cancelled?

Yes, if you text in for an open home and we receive either a change or cancellation to that open home we will automatically send you a free text update to let you know. After all there is nothing worse than turning up to an open home only to find the property is sold or the open home cancelled.

There is no open home scheduled for the property I want view/ I would like to organise a viewing before the next scheduled open home?

No problem, simply text 'view' then the property reference number (eg 'view abc1234') to 214 and we will send the real estate agent your mobile number with a message to contact you regarding that property asap.

Registering on seeproperty.co.nz

Registration on seeproperty.co.nz is free. All you need to do is fill in the online form and you will have access to all the tools you need to make looking for and finding open homes easier. After you register we will send you an email with a link to confirm your email address. Simply click on the link and your account will be activated. If you do not receive an email then contact us and we will finish the registration process with you.

Using My Account

All your account details are saved in this area and from here you can update your account details (including email and TXT preferences) change your password or mobile phone number. Access My Account from the link on the main menu bar or via the quick links on the left of the page. You must login to view My Account.

How do I add/remove properties from my shortlist?

To add a property to your shortlist click on the Add to my shortlist link that is in the right panel of each listing. To remove from your shortlist simply click on the link Remove from my shortlist. You can access your shortlist by clicking on the My Shortlist button from the main menu or via the quick links on the left of the page. You must log-on to view your shortlist.

Why has a property disappeared from my shortlist?

If a property has been sold or withdrawn, the status of the open home listing will change on seeproperty.co.nz. For one month the property will remain on your shortlist with a flag to tell you the status has changed. After that it will be removed from the website and your shortlist. You can choose to be alerted to changes to properties on your shortlist by opting-in for email alerts.

What are email alerts?

You can choose to receive an email from seeproperty.co.nz when an agent changes any of the details for a property that is on your open home shortlist, eg: if they re-schedule the open home. Seeproperty.co.nz takes your privacy seriously and do not pass on your email to any third party including the agents that list on our website. Change your email settings by logging in to My Account and clicking on Update my account details.

What are text cancellations?

You can opt-in to receive our exclusive text message cancellation service direct to your mobile phone. Simply opt-in by checking the box during registration (or change your preferences at anytime in My Account) You then need to click on the link 'Subscribe to TXT' beside the open home time for each and every open home you wish to be informed about. Finally, an end to driving across town to a cancelled open home and even better, it's free!

How do I unsubscribe from email or text cancellations?

Simply log-on, go to My Account and click on Update my account details.
